Introduction

Shenzhen Capital Group Co., Ltd (“SCGC”) is a limited venture capital company established by Shenzhen Government in 1999. Since its establishment, SCGC has focused on cultivating national industries, shaping national brands, promoting economic transformation and emerging industriesdeveloping. SCGC has registered capital of 4.2 billion RMB, and total AUM of 287.66 billion RMB. 


SCGC primarily invests in SMEs, innovative high-tech enterprises, enterprises in emerging industries, and enterprises in start-up period, growth period and in transformation, covering industries supported by national policies, including IT, internet, new media, biopharma, new energy, environmental protection, chemical engineering, new material, high-end equipment manufacturing, consumption goods, modern service, etc. By the end of April 2018, SCGC ranked the first based of the number of portfolio companies and the number of listed portfolio companies: 865 portfolio companies, investments totaling 36 billion RMB, 139 of which have been listed in 16 capital markets worldwide.


SCGC brings into full in playing the leading role of VC, and is actively exploring a new mode of economic growth with both public and private sectors. SCGC has established and is managing 97 government guidance funds, totaling 29.45 billion RMB, which formed a national network of investment and service, with an IRR of 40.32%. Besides the government guidance funds, SCGC also manages many commercial funds, joint venture funds, and established a wholly-owned mutual funds, the Hotland Innovation Asset Management Co., Ltd. In 2010, SCGC was chosen as a representative case of Chinese native VCs in Harvard Business School.


With excellent performances in the VC industry, for many years SCGC has achieved among the top in VC rankings held by authorities such as National Development and Reform Commission, the Investment Association of China, Zero2IPO Group, China Venture, Forbes China, Shanghai Securities News, and Securities Times.
